Abstract. A method for calculating the reflection coefficient is proposed, taking into account the differences in the physical properties of composite reinforcement and artificial reflectors. The maximum value of the reflection coefficient is calculated depending on the geometric dimensions of the artificial reflector and the object of testing. The difference between the approaches for calculating the reflection coefficient depending on the properties of an artificial reflector is considered.
