Abstract. The article explores the possibility of detecting defects in pipes. The studies were carried out on a pipe with a thread, in which there is a defect - the triangle of the thread tooth is not symmetrical (worn out), inconsistency with the thread profile. The dependence of the defect detection coefficient on the frequency of the probing signal pulse is shown.
